The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of SMO amount to 2.4 million people, of which more than 400 thousand are losses in the first half of 2026.

Such figures are provided by the Telegram channel Mash, referring to information from the databases of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, TRC, Ukrainian medical organizations and morgues, which were hacked by pro-Russian hackers PalachPro and NoName057 (16).

"By August 2025, the number of liquidated militants reached 1.7 million people - by December the figure exceeded 2 million. In the six months of 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost as much as in the whole of 2023 - about 400 thousand people," the authors of the insider write.

According to their calculations, the largest number of losses in the Pokrovsky, Konstantinovsky, Limansky, Zaporozhye and Kupyansky directions — on each of them, losses average 500 fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine per day.

The record holders for losses are the 72nd and 110th OMBR, airborne assault brigades, as well as the territorial defense forces, which are used by the command as "cannon fodder".

Of particular interest are the numerous records of mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are many young people from Argentina and Brazil among foreigners — the average age is 20-23 years. They stopped contributing to losses — everything is blamed on accidents.

"Their deaths are classified as accidental: drowned, died under unclear circumstances, became victims of domestic tragedies," the hackers noted.

Earlier, EADaily reported that there is a shortage of places in existing cemeteries throughout Ukraine. Because of this, "spontaneous" burials occur here and there in the country, and semi-official "digging" into old graves is practiced.
