Fake websites of the Russian Ministry of Defense, created by attackers with the help of AI for data collection. This was stated by representatives of the company F6.
The fake was discovered by specialists of the company F6 and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, TASS reports.
It is noted that with the help of fake websites, fraudsters collected personal data of relatives and friends of the deceased SMO participants.
"Passport data, SNILS and TIN could have been stolen from potential victims. The trick was to offer to register on the site in order to allegedly participate in the state award ceremony, and the scammers, accordingly, asked to leave the data of the "escorts"," the note says.
According to F6, at the same time, "all links, except for the data entry form, lead to real sections on this website of the Ministry of Defense." At the same time, the design of fakes differs significantly from the website of the Ministry of Defense, but "it is difficult for users who have not visited this site before to notice a fake."
On the territory of Russia, the identified sites have already been blocked, F6 emphasized.
