Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Vladimir Titov from the post of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. This is stated in the decree of the head of state, published on the official portal of the right information.
"To release Titov Vladimir Gennadievich from the post of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation," the document says.
The decision comes into force from the moment of publication, it is specified in the decree, TASS reports.
Titov held the post of First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation since April 22, 2013, oversaw relations with European countries and administrative issues. Prior to that, he had been Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2005.
Titov was born in 1958 and graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. In the MFA system since 1980, he worked in various diplomatic positions in the central office of the Ministry and abroad, including at the Russian Embassy in Sweden, was Ambassador to Bulgaria.
He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of III and IV degrees, the Order of Alexander Nevsky and Honors, as well as a number of other awards.
