Cult British rock band Placebo has canceled performances in Kazakhstan and Georgia. The team announced this on its social media page in one publication.
In Kazakhstan, the group was supposed to take part in the Park Live Festival, which will be held in Almaty on September 6-8.
"There are good indirect reasons for this, unrelated to the professionalism of the organizers, which we could not solve," the musicians explain at length.
The concert in Tbilisi was scheduled for September 12.
The cancellation of the show in Kazakhstan "made it logically impossible to perform in Tbilisi."
"We sincerely apologize to all our fans in Kazakhstan and Georgia for the cancellation at such a late stage. We also sincerely apologize to those of you who planned to come from far away," the musicians emphasize.
Placebo expressed hope that it will be able to return to both countries in the future, "when it is possible."
As EADaily reported, back in early July, the British rock band Editors announced their refusal to participate in the Park Live Festival. The musicians directly explained that they had been actively discussing participation in the festival in Kazakhstan, but decided to abandon the performance after receiving information about the sponsor of the event. The sponsor of the festival is the Russian company Yandex.
