Kiev was urged to release residents of the Kursk region from the occupied territories

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova called on Kiev to organize a humanitarian corridor for the exit of civilians from the territories occupied by the Armed Forces of the Kursk region. This is reported by TASS.

"According to my information, they [civilians in the occupied territories], as a rule, are in the basements of houses or destroyed houses. According to my information, there is no targeted delivery of humanitarian aid in violation of the Geneva Conventions. And I have already appealed to the Ukrainian side so that they organize a humanitarian corridor for people to go to a safe place," Moskalkova said.

It is cold now, and many Kuryans in the occupied territories do not have heating, Moskalkova noted.

"We have an understanding of how many of these people are approximately, in which settlements they are, and our military and the presidential administration are aiming to intensify the negotiation process and rescue of these people as much as possible," the ombudsman added.

She expressed hope that the relevant negotiations with Kiev will be completed successfully.
