"I am grateful for the release of the ballerina [Karelina]. In fact, this was done at the request of our very good friend. Danny White called me and said he was a friend or relative of one of the UFC fighters. And Dani is an amazing guy. And we talked about it with President (of Russia Vladimir) Putin, and they made a deal. They freed a young ballerina. She's free now, and that's great, so we appreciate that," Trump said.
He expressed the hope that soon it will also be possible to conclude a deal with Russia and Ukraine, "to stop the fighting."
