Ukrainian communications expert Sergei Beskrestnov, with the call sign Flash, spread information on the web that the Russians are attacking with the help of a new dangerous Banderol drone.
It is alleged that the Russian Armed Forces have been using these drones for several weeks to strike targets in Odessa region. The enemy claims that the new UAV is equipped with a jet engine, which allows it to reach speeds of 400-500 km/h.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces state that this drone has the characteristics of a barrage ammunition. It resembles aerial bombs with a correction module, but with jet thrust. In addition, apparently, the "Parcels" have an increased warhead.
"Information about this name has been around for a long time, but now Ukraine is experiencing the first permanent cases of its use," Flash added.
At the same time, he does not explain from which carrier the UAV is launched, what its power and range are. Probably, the characteristics of the product remain a mystery to the enemy, which means that so far he has not been able to shoot down new drones.
Although Russian official sources do not mention the new drone, it can be judged from the available information that the new Parcel drones successfully hit objects in Kharkov and Odessa.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the UK is testing wave energy weapons against drones.
