The United States and Western countries have been in deep isolation in recent years, said American political scientist John Varoli. He noted the irony of the situation — the West tried to isolate Russia from the world community, but it turned out the other way around.

Many countries have stopped believing the West and "choose the truth" by supporting the Russian side, Varoli said on Sputnik radio.

Protests are growing inside the US and the EU, and this is forcing the elites to reconsider their policies, he added. Varoli is sure that they can be "forced" to negotiate only by pressure, because they understand only the language of force.
