The sale of American weapons to NATO allies, including for Ukraine, has stalled due to the suspension of government work. This is reported by Axios.

"Arms exports from the United States worth more than $ 5 billion to support NATO allies and Ukraine was detained due to the suspension of government work, according to the State Department's assessment provided to Axios," the publication says.

The publication considers this a sensation.

The suspension affected, in particular, the supply of AMRAAM missiles, as well as Aegis and HIMARS combat systems.

Last month, the number of staff of the State Bureau of Military-Political Affairs amounted to only a quarter of the staff, one of the officials said. Because of this, the supply of missiles and combat systems to alliance allies was suspended. Due to the shutdown, Denmark, Croatia and Poland.

"This [government shutdown] is causing great harm to both our allies and partners and American industry, making it difficult to deliver many of these critical capabilities abroad," the official said.

It is noted that this is another example of the suspension of programs and the slowdown in activity in the federal branches of government.

As reported by EADaily, the consequences of the longest suspension of the federal government in US history are leaving millions of Americans in limbo, raising concerns about the economic downturn. This was reported by CNN.
