The son of the first and only Ukrainian cosmonaut Leonid Kadenyuk, Dmitry, was found dead in an apartment in Kiev, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing sources.
According to the agency, the body of a 41-year-old man lying at the front door was discovered by his mother and the cosmonaut's widow. There were numerous stab wounds on him, and a knife was clutched in his hand. As the agency notes, no suicide note was found, and the nature of the damage may indicate a struggle. A criminal case has been opened under the article on premeditated murder.
Recall that cosmonaut Leonid Kadenyuk died in January 2018. After that, his widow told the Ukrainian media about the sudden appearance of the alleged heir and the applicant for their apartment, about which the family had not heard anything before. According to the widow, the family received threats, and on Dmitry was attacked near the house by an unknown man with a knife.
According to RBC-Ukraine, the body of Dmitry Kadenyuk was found in the apartment that the cosmonaut acquired after his flight into space in 1997 and which was claimed by the heir who suddenly appeared.
