To hit targets in near space: the first C-500 regiment took up combat duty

On combat duty in Russia has taken over the first regiment equipped with the S-500 anti-aircraft missile system. It is capable of hitting targets in near space. This was stated today, December 17, by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at the final board of the military department.

"An air defense-missile defense division has been formed in the Aerospace Forces for the first time. The first regiment equipped with a unique S-500 anti—aircraft missile system capable of hitting targets in near space has taken up combat duty," said Andrei Belousov.
