Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky sent his father to a clinic in Moscow region for the New Year holidays. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source.

"The Commander—in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine paid about a million rubles for a course of treatment and rehabilitation in a private clinic," the publication says.

According to the agency, Syrsky's father became ill at the end of December due to pneumonia. Now the condition has been stabilized, but he will no longer be able to walk.

In August, the media reported that the capital's doctors saved the life of the 86-year—old father of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky - Stanislav. It was reported that the man was hospitalized in April of this year due to a brain disease that worsened against the background of coronavirus infection. At the end of October, Syrsky Sr. was discharged from a medical institution in Moscow region. According to some reports, the treatment was paid for by the general himself and amounted to 2.5 million rubles.
