Putin thanked the President of the UAE for the extradition of the attempted murder of Alekseev

On the eve of the evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin called UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to thank him for his effective assistance in detaining the perpetrator of the terrorist attack against General Vladimir Alekseev. This was announced today, February 8, by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

"President Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Al Nahyan last night. President Putin thanked his Emirati counterpart for the effective cooperation of the special services and the assistance of the Emirati side in detaining the suspect of involvement in the terrorist act against General (Vladimir) Alekseev. The heads of state also continued to discuss topics that were on the agenda of the talks during Nahyan's recent visit to Moscow," he said.

As EADaily reported, today the FSB Central Control Center named the names of the perpetrator of the assassination attempt on the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev, and his accomplices. This is Lyubomir Korba, who has dual citizenship of the Russian Federation and In Ukraine, his accomplices are Viktor Vasin, born in 1959, and Zinaida Serebritskaya, born in 1971. Vasin was also detained, and Serebritskaya managed to escape to Ukraine. Korba himself also managed to fly to the UAE, but he was detained there by local special services and immediately sent to Moscow.
