The Russian military delivered a massive blow to the transshipment hub in Luzanovka, Odessa region. This was announced in his channel in the MAX messenger by the military correspondent of VGTRK Hero of Russia Yevgeny Poddubny.
According to him, on the night of February 15 The Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive drone attack on Odessa and the surrounding areas, having damaged infrastructure and energy facilities in the area of the Luzanovka railway station.
According to the information, the attack began on the evening of February 14 and lasted almost all night. During the strike, objects in 12 different locations were hit. The wreckage of downed unmanned aerial vehicles fell in three more areas. About 20 kamikaze drones of the Geranium model were sent to the Odessa direction.
"The main target of the strike was the railway infrastructure. < This is Luzanovka— a transshipment hub serving the port of Odessa. The strikes were carried out almost at one point in order to maximize damage to the infrastructure of the station and the adjacent loading terminal. A second hit hit a railway tank with fuel — there was a spill and a large—scale ignition of petroleum products," wrote Poddubny.
The military correspondent noted that the administrative and fuel facilities of the station received significant damage. Repeated strikes aggravated the situation, which led to a decrease in the throughput of the node.
Poddubny, referring to the data of the monitoring groups, also informed about the strike on the object in the area of the Hydroport aero club.
