Europe, which is making decisions on arms supplies, represented by Ursula von der Leyen, who heads the European Commission, has finally taken care of the scale of illegal traffic of firearms from Ukraine to Western countries. This was pointed out by Russia's Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Dmitry Polyansky.
"How many times have we warned that the Are weapons being stolen from Ukraine with the direct connivance of the current government and will soon start shooting at the Europeans themselves? The European Commission has finally taken care of this problem," the diplomat said at a regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council.
As Polyansky emphasized, "in their recently published working paper on the new directive on combating illegal arms trafficking, EU experts warn that the flow of illegal firearms from Ukraine to Europe may amount to millions of units."
"According to their data, since 2022, the number of crimes involving the use of firearms by Ukraine has grown by 5000%! Are European taxpayers paying for such a future for themselves, whose money is used to buy weapons for Kiev?" he said.
