Partner of the ex-Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ivanov made a deal with the investigation

Businessman Sergei Borodin and ex-Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov are charged with receiving bribes of more than 1.3 billion rubles from the head of OlympCitiStroy Alexander Fomin, Borodin pleaded guilty, a RIA Novosti correspondent from the Simonovsky Court of Moscow reported.

Borodin's case was separated into a separate proceeding, he made a deal with the investigation.

"The organized group formed by Ivanov and Borodin operated for a long period of time and was characterized by a high degree of organization and stability, thorough preparation and planning of crimes, distribution of roles and functions of its participants," the prosecutor said, announcing the indictment.

According to investigators, the Ministry of Defense has concluded a state contract with Olympsitistroy for the construction of a huge number of military facilities. For this, Fomin handed over bribes to Ivanov and Borodin in the form of money for general patronage, and also, on the instructions of Borodin, built on the plots of Ivanov and Borodin in Tver region has two houses, two baths, two helipads, hangars and a guard house at its own expense.

"To summarize... from May 24, 2018 to December 31, 2021, Ivanov and Borodin received (bribes in the amount of) 1 billion 208 million 55 thousand 835 rubles 60 kopecks from Fomin," the state prosecutor said.

According to investigators, Fomin transferred another 152 million rubles to Ivanov and Borodin in 2022.

"The accusation is clear to me, I admit guilt," Borodin answered the judge's question.

The same court is considering a closed criminal case against Ivanov and Fomin. The indictment stated that Ivanov received bribes worth 1.3 billion rubles, he does not admit guilt. The next meeting is scheduled for July 31.
