"I say the following to President Putin: we see you, we see your activities near our cables and pipelines. And you should know that any attempt to damage them will entail serious consequences," he said.

In turn, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer noted that the government will do everything necessary to protect the British people. He believes that in this way Russia "seeks to test the determination" of Great Britain. However, there is no evidence of damage to cables or pipelines.

Earlier, the British government stated that they were recording an increase in the number of cases when Russian ships operate near the waters of the Kingdom. In this regard, London previously introduced the Atlantic Bastion technology to combat the "growing activity of the Russian submarine fleet." At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly stated that Russia does not plan any unfriendly actions against NATO and EU countries.
