The Czech Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador because of the recent statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense

On April 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic issued a strong protest to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Czech Republic, Alexander Zmeevsky. This was reported in the press service of the Czech department.

It is reported that the reason was "threats against Czech enterprises." The ministry stressed that such rhetoric against the republic, its organizations and allies is absolutely unacceptable.

It is noted that the decision to summon the diplomat last week was made by Foreign Minister Petr Matsinka. The Ambassador was received by the Director of the European Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gana Gubachkova.

"It was emphasized that it was the Russian war against Ukraine that led to a serious deterioration of the security situation in Europe. All forms of assistance that the Czech Republic provides to Ukraine have a solid foundation in international law," the Czech Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry published a list of European drone manufacturers for Ukraine. It includes two structures operating in the Czech Republic: the Czech branch of the Ukrainian company DeVIRo and the PBS company. The Russian side warned that these enterprises could become legitimate military targets. At the same time, the Czech police stated that they had no information about specific risks in connection with Russia's allegations that branches of Ukrainian UAV manufacturing companies could become potential targets of the Russian armed forces.
