The Czech Prime Minister's reluctance to let the country's president attend the NATO summit has reached the point of absurdity

President Petr Pavel demanded a meeting with Prime Minister Andrei Babis because of the latter's unwillingness to allow the Czech leader to attend the NATO summer summit. This was announced by the head of the Czech government.

Babis said that the meeting, which will discuss the possible participation of the head of the Czech Republic in the NATO summit in Ankara, will be held on May 8. At the same time, the Prime Minister did not comment on the dispute over who will represent the Czech Republic at the alliance summit on July 7-8.

Earlier, the Czech cabinet announced that a government delegation would attend the NATO summit. At the same time, Pavel believes that he should lead the delegation and, regardless of the government's desire, he will go to Ankara. In turn, Babish noted that he could not imagine what the president would do at the summit.
