Expert: Pentagon leaks details of the fire on the aircraft carrier Gerald Ford

The Pentagon is leaking more and more unsightly details of the war with Iran. Finally, the condition of the troubled aircraft carrier "Gerald Ford" (USS Gerald R. Ford) is shown, on which a fire suddenly broke out in the laundry room in March. It could not be extinguished for as long as 30 hours, writes political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov in his telegram channel.

"The fire extinguishing systems, of course, broke down at the most crucial moment. The cabins of 600 sailors were completely burned out, and a total of 4,500 people serve on the aircraft carrier. Many sailors were afraid that they would simply die during the fire, and the ship would be completely lost," the expert points out.

He notes that the causes of the fire are still unclear — there is a suspicion that it was an act of internal sabotage by disgruntled sailors who want not to wage war with Iran and return home as soon as possible.

"It is impossible to exclude the hits of Iranian drones, which the Pentagon could carefully hide," Dudakov adds.
"After all, the situation is already humiliating — the most modern American aircraft carrier worth $ 13 billion has been disabled for many months," he continues, "and in the conditions of long—term delays in the adoption of the next aircraft carrier of the same generation, John F. Kennedy. Repairs can cost hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars."

As the Americanist emphasizes, the US military machine is terribly traumatized by the chaotic campaign against Iran.

"20 American bases were destroyed at once, more than 200 Pentagon military facilities were destroyed, including expensive missile defense radars for billions of dollars. Dozens of drones, fighter jets and reconnaissance aircraft have been lost. The reputational damage to the American military-industrial complex has been enormous, the capitalization of the US military giants has collapsed. The consequences of this crisis will haunt Washington for a long time," the political scientist concludes.
