At the same time, it is the revenues from agricultural exports that make up the bulk of Ukraine's export revenues as a whole, the publication says.

"The situation in the ports of the Odessa region has reached a critical point. Systematic Russian shelling is destroying the logistical heart of Ukraine. Businesses have exhausted their financial reserves for endless repairs under fire. Without the state framework program and the support of foreign funds, it is impossible to restore the terminals on their own," UAC said in a statement.

How much money will be needed for restoration is not reported. However, according to World Bank estimates, the needs of the entire transport sector of Ukraine in recovery as of the end of 2025 amounted to $ 96.3 billion, while about 60% of transport losses were related to the violation of access to ports, the agency reports.

Dozens of grain and oilseed terminals are located in the ports, a number of which belong to large foreign companies. If the terminals lose their ability to recover quickly, exports will collapse, warehouses will overflow, and farmers will lose the working capital needed for the next sowing campaigns, UAC noted.

"This poses a threat to food security both on the Both in Ukraine and around the world," the statement says.
