The world pop star celebrated 36 years of sobriety with a glass of wine

British singer, pianist and composer Elton John proudly celebrated 36 years of absolute sobriety. He dedicated a post on social networks to this date.

The artist posted a photo with a glass of wine.

"Today is 36 years of sobriety. I raise a glass to life (0%). I am grateful for every day," the musician wrote in the comments.

0% means that he drinks non-alcoholic wine, and his own production. The musician's brand Elton John Zero produces sparkling wine Blanc de Blancs, which he introduced a month ago. The singer explained that he wanted to create a drink that would allow everyone at the table to clink the same glasses, regardless of whether they drink alcohol or not.

"When you want to raise a toast to someone, doing it with water is not the same at all," the musician is sure.

As EADaily reported, in November 2024, Elton John admitted that he had stopped working on a new album due to vision problems. The actor suffered an eye infection, which he picked up in the south of France, and has been unable to see with his right eye for four months, his left eye is not in the best condition.

However, later work on the album resumed, and in April 2025 the album "Who Believes in Angels?" was released together with Brandi Carlisle.
