During his visit to the Abai region, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov stated the need to fight the enemies of the state. This is reported by tengrinews.kz .
"Those who are engaged in illegal logging are enemies of the state. Here the whole state should take up and strike in principle," the head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.
He called for a fight against organized criminal groups engaged in illegal deforestation.
"We must fight them. You know better than I do what they are. <> The forest is our national treasure," Bektenov added.
As part of a working trip to the Abai region, he flew over the forestry territory, where he checked the execution of President Tokayev's instructions to restore the pine forest that burned down last summer and prevent fires.
