Almost 20% of young Czech residents plan to leave the country. This is evidenced by the data of the study "Young Voices — 2024", carried out by UNICEF in cooperation with the Czech agency STEM/MARK.
According to the survey, 57% of respondents aged 9 to 17 and 51% aged 14 to 17 intend to associate their adult life with the Czech Republic. At the same time, 19% of children answered that they intend to live and work outside the republic.
It is reported that minors abroad are attracted by the possibility of good employment and gaining useful experience. At the same time, in the Czech Republic itself, young people are not satisfied with the political and economic situation, which, as they believe, may worsen. Czech teenagers are most attracted to the possibility of moving to the USA, Great Britain and Germany.
