The Ukrainian authorities should understand that Russia can mirror the attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was stated at a meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"People on the other side should also understand that if they play with this so dangerously, they still have a working nuclear power plant on their side. And what prevents us from responding in a mirror way? Let them think about it," Putin said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
