According to the official statement of the Central Bank of Russia, the country's international reserves have updated the previous maximum, reaching $ 763.9 billion. Thus, in the period from December 19 to December 26, they increased by 1.5%.

"International reserves as of the end of the day on December 26, 2025 amounted to $ 763.9 billion, having increased by $ 11.3 billion over the week, or by 1.5%, mainly due to a positive revaluation," the regulator confirmed.

The previous estimate for December 19 was $752.6 billion.

EADaily reminds that the country's international (gold and foreign exchange) reserves consist of highly liquid foreign assets held by the Bank of Russia and the government. We are talking about moneritarian gold, special borrowing rights, a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund and funds in foreign currency, that is, other reserve assets.
