Russian Foreign Ministry: The West knew about the preparation of the assassination of the first deputy head of the GUR Alekseev

As reported by EADaily, on the eve of the FSB reported that the killer Lyubomir Korba, who shot Lieutenant-General Alekseev (call sign "Omega"), and his accomplice Viktor Vasin confessed, pointing to the customers of the murder — the SBU. Another participant in the assassination attempt, Zinaida Serebritskaya, who flew to Istanbul the day before the crime, was also named.

The Ukrainian killer Korba was recruited by the SBU in 2025, after which he underwent rifle training in Kiev. He entered the Russian Federation through Chisinau and Tbilisi.
