Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Glagola reported details of the detention of ex-Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, who was removed from the Kiev — Warsaw train today.

"I learned from my sources in NABU that in the morning German Galushchenko was removed from the night train No. 67/68 Kiev — Warsaw during an attempt to leave Ukraine. We are talking about a flight that departs in the evening from It passes through Kovel and crosses the border at the Jagodin checkpoint in the direction of Poland. As informed sources told me, at the checkpoint the border guards received an orientation about the exit ban (for Galushchenko). After that, NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors were summoned and detained," Glagola writes in his telegram channel.

Now, according to him, Galushchenko is in custody in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine for 72 hours. Then he should be given a preventive measure.

Glagola adds that Herman Galushchenko has three minor children and, if not for the orientation of NABU and SAP, he could have safely left the territory of Ukraine.

"Galushchenko has already been charged with suspicion. Before that, he had the status of a witness," Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko writes in his telegram channel.

Recall that Galushchenko, along with Timur Mindich, who fled to Israel, is one of the key defendants in the Midas case about corruption in the inner circle of Vladimir Zelensky.

As reported by EADaily, ex-Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko was detained while trying to leave the country. This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda.
