Khamenei had no chance: Details of the death of the supreme leader of Iran appeared

Ali Khamenei was struck during his meeting at the residence with senior officers. This is reported by Reuters.

"Israel and the United States on Saturday timed their attack on Iran is preparing for a meeting held by the country's supreme leader Ali Khamenei with top aides, two American sources and an American official familiar with the matter said. Israel said Khamenei was killed along with senior officers, including Ali Shamkhani, an influential former secretary of the National Security Council, and Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC),"the agency reports.

According to two Iranian sources, Khamenei met with Shamkhani and secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani in a safe place shortly before the strikes began.

It is noted that US President Donald Trump said on the Truth Social network that Khamenei was killed after intelligence pinpointed his movements.

"He could not get away from our intelligence and state—of-the-art surveillance systems in close cooperation with Israel, he or other leaders who died with him could not do anything," Trump said.

US and Israeli military strikes throughout Iran have driven the Middle East into another and unpredictable conflict, while Iran has launched retaliatory strikes against Israel and the nearby Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, the agency adds.
