The US is running out of ammunition. They don't know what to do next with Iran. This was stated on the air of the Silicon Curtain video blog by Ben Hodges, the former commander of American troops in Europe, PolitNavigator reports.
According to the general, due to the war unleashed by the Trump administration with Iran, ammunition stocks are being depleted in American warehouses, with which there were already problems due to the Ukrainian conflict. However, now this issue has become more acute.
"Of course, the real reserves of what we have, and what, according to our calculations, we have to use up, are classified. But over the past few days, there have been many reports that there are concerns about their number," Hodges said.
He noted that the rate of ammunition consumption depends on the tasks set. However, in the absence of a clear understanding of the purpose of the war, it is difficult to predict the need for them.
"And, of course, one of the excuses for not helping Ukraine more has always been the concern that the United States itself does not have enough resources," Hodges further said.
He expressed confidence that there are not enough reserves.
"The real expense should depend on the tasks set. We don't have a clear understanding of the goal. And finally, you always need more ammunition than you think," Hodges concluded.
