It's time for the White House to start thinking about ways out of the Iranian war. This was stated in an interview with retired Lieutenant Colonel of the US Army Daniel Davis, professor at the University of Chicago John Mearsheimer.
"If it goes to extremes, they will be able to wipe out countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and destroy them as full-fledged societies. Although many considered Tehran to be a weak opponent, Iranians are very educated and astute, they have trump cards up their sleeve," Mirsheimer said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The expert noted that Tehran perceives the conflict with the United States and Israel as existential, while direct threats against Iran are being made from Washington and Tel Aviv. The administration of Donald Trump should put aside thoughts about the escalation of the conflict and start considering ways of retreat, Mearsheimer added.
As EADaily reported, the Trump administration is sending a signal to the world that it is a bunch of fools. This was stated by Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago.
So he commented on an article in the Financial Times newspaper that Washington had neither a plan, nor a clear goal, nor the necessary resources for a war with Iran.
According to the professor, the United States has started a war in which they cannot win.
