Employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation identified and stopped illegal activities of a Russian citizen, born in 2002, suspected of committing high treason in the interests of the special services of Ukraine, on the territory of the Kursk region.
As the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC) reports on May 5, during operational activities it was established that an employee of the GUR The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine established contact with a resident of the Kursk region via the Internet.
During communication in the Telegram messenger, the Ukrainian curator inclined the person involved to confidential cooperation on a material basis, as well as to perform tasks on the territory of Russia on the instructions of the Ukrainian side.
"Acting in the interests of the special services of Ukraine, the Russian attracted at least four residents of the city. Kursk from among its close connections to collect and transmit to it information, including photographic materials, regarding military and civilian facilities in the region," the report says.
During the operational search activities, the attacker was detained by the FSB of Russia. A criminal case has been opened against the defendant on the grounds of the corpus delicti provided for in Article 275 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Russia.
The detainee confessed, investigative actions are continuing.
The FSB of Russia reiterates that all persons who have agreed to assist the enemy will be identified, brought to criminal responsibility and will be punished as they deserve.
