In the north of India, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, during a dust storm, the wind lifted a man to a height of about 50 m. This is reported in social networks.
In the video, a man trying to stay on the ground grabs a tin structure, but because of the wind, the structure overturns, and the man is thrown into the air. Reportedly, the man survived the incident, but received multiple injuries.
The disaster claimed the lives of 111 people in several districts of the state, 72 people were injured, the newspaper The Indian Express writes. People died due to falling trees and collapsing buildings, as well as from lightning strikes. Rescue operations are continuing in the affected areas.
