The first tests of a new modification of the fifth-generation fighter have been conducted in Russia. We are talking about a two-seat version of the famous Su-57, which has not yet received an official name.
According to the Fighterbomber Telegram channel, the car has already taxied. Exactly what the novelty will be called — Su-57D, Su-57UB or Su-57ED — will become clear later. The first photos of the aircraft also appeared on the network.
Experts associate the creation of a two-seater version not only with pilot training, but also with export potential. According to the Informant channel, the aircraft was built on the basis of a single-seat prototype of the T-50−4. The blog of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies clarifies that the basis is another board — T-50−5 with the number 055.
Thus, Russia continues to develop the Su-57 line, relying on the adaptation of the fighter for various tasks, including training flight personnel and deliveries to foreign customers.
EADaily also informed earlier that the long—awaited "Chandeliers" were brought to the fighters in the SMO area.
