A new weapon against drones has appeared in the SMO zone. Russian servicemen began to receive modern electronic warfare systems called "Chandelier 5-30". The devices are designed specifically to protect equipment from drone attacks. Details are reported by Izvestia with reference to a representative of the Kroniks design bureau.
One of the first combat tests has already proved the effectiveness of the novelty. A unit equipped with an anti-drone "Chandelier" came under attack by FPV drones. Drone detectors detected the threat in time, and the fighters activated the system. A group without electronic warfare equipment was moving nearby, they managed to hide in the resulting "dome" of interference. As a result, one of the drones that tried to attack collapsed to the ground, and the rest chose to retreat.
Engineers have combined five units in one device, each of which includes two noise generators. If damaged, any element can be quickly replaced directly in the field. The designers deliberately did not chase the maximum power, relying on mobility and reliability.
