The former first deputy governor of the Novosibirsk region, Yuri Petukhov, was detained in the capital with drugs. Details are provided by the Telegram channel Mash.
According to the source, the 58-year-old ex-official was allegedly under the influence of cocaine at the time of his arrest. During the search, several packages with prohibited substances were found in his possession.
Petukhov has already pleaded guilty and is cooperating with the investigation.
The detainee held the post of the first deputy governor of the Novosibirsk region since 2015. On June 8, he was fired, after which he disappeared from view. For several days, relatives, with whom Petukhov stopped contacting, were looking for him.
