Iran will seek to implement the agreement reached at the upcoming talks with the American side, and in case of Washington's bad faith and excessive demands, Tehran will give a crushing response, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who is expected to lead the delegation of the Islamic Republic, said.

"The task set before us by the supreme leader is to achieve the implementation of the terms and clauses of the agreement. In case of bad faith, violation of agreements and excessive demands of the other side, we will not hesitate to give the enemy a crushing response," Ghalibaf wrote on the social network X.

He threatened the United States with an "even stronger blow" if they tried to follow the path of military conflict again.

Iran and the United States are expected to begin negotiations on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed earlier between the two countries in the Swiss city of Burgenstock on Friday.

The American delegation will be headed by Vice President J.D. Vance, and the Iranian delegation will be headed by Ghalibaf.

On Thursday night, US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian remotely signed a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, consisting of 14 points. It was published by both leading American and Iranian media.

The document provides that the United States and Iran immediately stops military operations "on all fronts, including Lebanon."

According to the text, the USA and Iran pledges to negotiate and reach a final agreement in no more than 60 days. This 60-day period, according to Vance, started on Thursday, June 18. The American media in this context noted that thus the deadline for the final agreement of the parties is August 17.
