Ukraine will receive PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot systems from the United States in the coming days, said the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
Kiev expects a new package of assistance from The United States, which will include missiles for the Patriot air defense system, Zelensky told reporters after the NATO summit in Turkey on July 9.
"I think this is a productive summit for Ukraine. In the coming days we will receive a package from The United States of America, and I also had separate agreements with the Europeans. There are no specific dates yet, but there will be additional PAC-3," the head of the Kiev regime said.
According to him, the issue of launching the production of Patriot systems on Ukraine has already been "resolved politically" with US President Donald Trump.
As reported by EADaily, Trump announced at the NATO summit in Ankara is informed that the United States will provide Ukraine with a license to produce missiles for Patriot air defense systems. Trump's attempt to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system by transferring the license for the production of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system is unlikely to help the Kiev regime, columnist Kelly Bokar Vlahos said in an article for the American magazine Responsible Statecraft.
"Firstly, the Ukrainians will not be able to build them in time to somehow change the situation, and secondly, the war with Russia will never be won on the battlefield. It's a waste," the publication says.
The author believes that the transfer of military technology to Kiev could jeopardize US national security. Such a step will make it easier for foreign intelligence agencies to access classified information about American systems. Vlahos predicts that in Washington is undoubtedly aware of these risks, which may lead to the rejection of Trump's advertising initiative.
"We will not be surprised if this gift to Ukraine is delayed until it is completely forgotten, where it belongs," the observer concluded.
