Russian beatboxer, rapper, singer and composer of Georgian origin Vahtang (Vakhtang Kalandadze) delighted the jury of the show America's Got Talent. A video recording of the musician's performance as part of the show is available on YouTube.
To participate in the project, Vahtang chose a beatbox cover of the 1977 Ram Jam hit Black Betty.
"The Subwoofer Man" shocks the judges with a mind-blowing beatbox performance by Black Betty and makes the audience applaud standing," the video description says.
The performance of the artist was watched by "legendary judges — Mel B, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara." All four of them said to Vahtang— "Yes."
Behind the scenes of the project, Vahtang taught several beatbox techniques to the host of the show, Terry Crews.
America's Got Talent is one of the most popular American television talent shows. The show is attended by ordinary people who demonstrate a variety of talents — singing, playing musical instruments, dancing, acrobatics, numbers with animals and much more.
To qualify for the next round, the jury members must say "yes" to the participant. A special feature of this show is the "golden button", which can be used by each of the judges once a season — to skip to the next round a talented participant who scored an insufficient number of "yes" votes.
The winner receives $ 1 million in recent years and the opportunity to perform his own show at Luxor Las Vegas.
