The United States is trying to prevent the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey, which is taking place with the participation of Russia. However, the project will not stop, said Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation.
"The settlement system is under attack. They're seizing the money. They are Americans who walk between our legal entities, between our banks. Well, a lot of things "arrive" in small things," Likhachev said. "But the dogs are barking—the caravan is coming."
The fact that the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant "caravan is underway" was said back in May in an interview with EADaily by Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexey Yerkhov:
"The construction of the Akkuyu NPP is proceeding normally, despite all the machinations that opponents of this project are trying to build inside and outside Turkey. And although there are still many difficulties to be expected, the "caravan is coming."
