Ukrainian near—war public reports that the battle for Ugledar is almost over - the Russians entered the city from the west and south. In the western part of the city, the Russian military hung out their flags.

Meanwhile, Russian sources report (citing radio intercepts) that on the evening of September 30, the remnants of the 72nd mechanized brigade defending Ugledar received an order to go for a breakthrough.
