In the near future, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be forced to leave several large cities of Donbass. This was stated to journalist Alexander Shelest❶ by retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov, a military expert.

"The situation on the eastern front is difficult. The enemy has launched four assaults on cities this week — these are Toretsk, Chasov Yar, Selidovo and Kurakhovo. This means that we may lose them in the near future. The expert noted that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation use the tactics used in the capture of Ugledar.

"The enemy comes in from three sides, but leaves one road and one side so that our garrison can get out of there. Of course, not without losses. What's the point? If surrounded from all sides, according to military science, those surrounded fight 3-5 times more fiercely. And there will be big losses for them. And they take in a pincer, and then they force our troops to withdraw from these cities," the colonel explained.

As reported by EADaily, the Ukrainian authorities are preparing a bill on the forced evacuation of residents of towns and villages located near the line of combat. This was reported by People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mariana Bezuglaya.
