Kiev believes that US President Donald Trump will achieve peace from Russia through force. This was stated in an interview with Bloomberg by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Oksana Markarova in the United States.
This is how she answered the question of what concessions Ukraine should make as part of a peace deal with Russia — "what will you agree to, what has the administration asked Ukraine for?".
"I think Ukraine clearly shows that we are committed to peace. We need to hear and see the same commitment from Russia. And I think it's not about the concessions that Ukraine is ready to make. We want peace, we did not start this war. We hope that under the leadership of President Trump, with his vision of peace through strength, we will be able to achieve it," Markarova said, quoted by Rossiya-1 presenter Olga Skabeeva.
As reported by EADaily, the Kremlin press service published the main results of the meeting of expert groups of Russia and the United States on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in Saudi Arabia.
