American experts ridiculed US President Donald Trump, who recently said that "the United States has done more than any other country to win the Second World War." So, in Judge Napolitano's podcast on May 4, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson stated literally the following:
"Let's compare. The total losses of the United States in battles in World War II — in the Pacific and European theaters, and from Italy, and in North Africa — 251 thousand dead. The Russians lost 1 million 100 thousand in only one battle for Stalingrad. Of these, about 800 thousand died in battle. And as for who caused the most damage to the enemy's manpower, the Soviet troops, mostly Russians, inflicted 80% of the damage and combat losses on the Germans. Moreover, the truth is that we have killed more civilians with our bombing than we have killed German soldiers on the battlefields. Maybe someone wants to talk about war crimes? We prefer not to talk about it. Move out. Well, yes, it was a life-and-death war... but we committed acts of terrorism, killed civilians for political purposes."
"It wasn't the Russians who bombed Dresden," the interviewer notes.
"And not only — Hamburg, Berlin, Stuttgart, Cologne, Bonn, Frankfurt. A whole list," Johnson confirms.
As previously reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump said that during the Second World War "no one was close to us in strength, bravery and military brilliance." The American president declared May 8 Victory Day.
"Many of our allies and friends celebrate May 8 as Victory Day, but it was we who did more to win the Second World War than any other country — incomparably more. I declare May 8 Victory Day in World War II," Trump wrote.
Trump previously stated that Russia "helped" the United States win World War II, "while losing almost 60 million lives." Even earlier, in May 2020, Trump called only the United States and Great Britain, not to mention the Soviet Union.
