The United States is looking for a replacement for Zelensky, which is in line with Russia's interests — political scientist

There are more and more signs that the United States seriously intends to reconstruct the Kiev regime and replace Vladimir Zelensky with another figure.

This opinion was expressed to the agency Lenta.ru political scientist Yevgeny Kopatko. According to him, Washington would like to see someone more accommodating and less prone to escalation for dubious military purposes at the head of Ukraine.

The expert believes that the Americans are tired of Kiev's attempts to draw the West into direct participation in the armed conflict. After all, in fact, the United States is not at all interested in a war with Russia.

"However, attacks on strategic facilities, including elements of the nuclear triad, demonstrate that this scenario is not completely ruled out," Kopatko said.

He explained that it is the prospect of war with Russia that forces Washington to look for a replacement for Zelensky. The political scientist is sure that this is a common interest of Russia and the United States.

"In this context, u Russia and the United States have a chance to agree to avoid the worst. And direct negotiations with Ukraine are part of this process," the expert concluded.

As reported by EADaily, earlier the former Ukrainian prime minister said that the United States had begun the process of removing Zelensky from power. The politician believes that the process will not be instantaneous, it will be divided into a number of stages.
