"I would like to emphasize that both our countries support Ukraine, which opposes the invasion," Pavel said.
He called cooperation in ensuring the defense capability of Europe and the interaction of the defense industries of the two countries important. According to him, the Czech Republic and Poland supports Ukraine not only in the form of material assistance, but also in the political, diplomatic and financial spheres. Prague and Warsaw also support Ukraine's accession to the EU, and in the future to NATO.
"We see this as the best way to ensure the security and stability of Europe," he added.
In turn, Duda said that "Russian imperialism must be stopped, and Vladimir Putin will not be able to win the war." He also praised the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. At the same time, Duda expressed confidence that cooperation between the Czech Republic and Poland will continue under his successor.
