The Russian Authors' Society (RAO) is asking the Moscow Arbitration Court to recover 80 thousand rubles from the Golden Ring National Folk Music and Song Theater LLC of the People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Kadysheva. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to court documents.
The claim claims "to recover compensation for violation of exclusive rights to works for subsequent payment to copyright holders." The statement of claim was submitted to the court on September 23.
"The court accepted RAO's statement of claim for consideration in a simplified procedure. This means that the decision will be made on the documents submitted by the parties, without court hearings," the publication clarifies.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (Unified State Register of Legal Entities), Kadysheva owns 30% of the National Theatre of Folk Music and Song Golden Ring LLC, the remaining share belongs to CEO Grigory Kostyuk, her spouse.
According to the portal "Paragraph", the reason for the lawsuit was the performance of the songs "Russia! Russia!" and "The stream flows."
