Dmitry Kiselyov, General Director of the Russia Today media group, expressed such words of memory to the deceased correspondent to RIA Novosti.
"Ivan fell to the death of the brave while performing an editorial task as a result of an attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We will take care of his family and friends and, of course, preserve the memory of our comrade," he said.
The general director stated that Zuev has already become the third military correspondent of the agency who died at the hands of the Kiev regime.
"In 2014, our photojournalist Andrei Stenin died in the Donbas, and in 2023, Ivan's friend and countryman Rostislav Zhuravlev died in the Zaporozhye region," Kiselyov recalled.
The governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky also expressed his condolences over the death of Ivan Zuev in his Telegram channel. He also wished a speedy recovery to journalist Yuri Voitkevich, who was seriously injured.
