Fashion historian, art critic, former host of the program on Channel One Alexander Vasiliev told about the French passport. In an interview with the Montreal LIVE YouTube channel, he told the story of being detained at one of the US airports.
Vasiliev described in detail the waiting process when, after being detained at the airport, he had to wait for permission to enter the country.
"Exactly half an hour later, a woman's voice calls me to the "Alexander Vasiliev" window. I come in, I have a French passport. She had it in her hands," said the fashion historian.
He added that the border guard officer recognized Vasiliev, she had read his book "Beauty in Exile" published in the USA in 2000.
"And she told me, 'Welcome to America,'" Vasiliev concluded, noting that he was flattered by the recognition.
As reported by EADaily, it became known earlier that Vasiliev partially repaid the debt of his Russian company on taxes. He closed 294 thousand rubles of the tax debt of Lilies of Alexander Vasiliev LLC on the total amount of debt in the amount of 534 thousand rubles. However, the fashion historian's firm has another debt of 1.3 million rubles.
