The situation for the Russian army units in the western part of Kupyansk continues to deteriorate rapidly. This was announced today, December 15, by the authoritative military blogger Yuri Podolyaka. There are no official comments on this topic yet, and other Russian telegram channels are also silent.
The enemy is attacking by units of several brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at once (two of which were transferred here from other sectors of the front), as well as by forces of two assault regiments and special forces units of the MTR and GUR The Defense Ministry of Ukraine continues to press us from the south and north. They took control of several more microdistricts of the city, as well as the village of Moskovka, writes Podolyaka.
"The units of our 68th division are fighting desperately. But the superiority of the enemy in forces, as well as our already obvious problems with logistics, are affecting. Also, the fact that as a result of the loss of part of the city's districts, our drone operators had to go to the left bank of Oskol for the most part has a very strong effect. This significantly increases the flight range and simplifies the situation with the enemy's logistics," notes Yuri Podolyaka.
As reported by EADaily, on December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian army controls both the right-bank and left-bank parts of Kupyansk entirely, and the Russian Armed Forces began liquidating 15 battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there. Putin assured that Kupyansk-Uzlovoy would be taken in a few days.
